Xyron

I got a Xyron sticker creator recently and I think it is great! I have been using it mostly for letters. If you don't know what I am talking about, it is this little sticker maker. You put the paper in that you want made into a sticker and then turn this little handle crank at the side until you see all of you paper come out. It comes out on this waxy paper with sticky stuff on the back of the paper.

The only thing I will say that is sort of negative is that it can sometimes leave little balled up pieces of adhesive on the edges of the paper. You have to peel them off to make it look like stickers you would buy from the store.

All in all I love it! I used it for making some letters into stickers that I had cut out from my Slice and it made my life so much easier than trying to get the glue on the backs on them. You just peel up the letter and stick!

Thanks! When I post the layout I will mention where and what I used the Xyron for!

ATG Gun

Hi everyone! I wanted to talk to you a bit about this new tool I got last week. It's the Advanced Tape Glider. This is an adhesive gum made by Scotch Tape and it works pretty well. I love that it is big so that you don't have to replace the tape as often as those smaller glue runners.

The only bad things I will say is that it is difficult to get the tape in it. We had to try a couple times before really figuring it out. The other thing is that it's a bit pricey for the gun and the refills that are acid free.

Other than that it is a great adhesive tool. As far as I can tell it sticks very well and it works great. Should you choose to purchase one, it may take a couple uses to get used to using something that large. I purchased mine from Michaels and I used a coupon for it!

Engagement Day

Hi everyone!
Since all my pictures were down I thought I would add one the old way by uploading it directly to my blog. I am not sure if this will work as I have never tried it before.

This is a page that I created out of die cuts by Teresa Collins from the Posh line. The die cuts are all pink and black so that is where I got the inspiration for this page. I wanted to challenge myself a bit and use something that I hadn't really experimented with before and that is the borders. I love the look of borders but I haven't really played with them like this before.

I love the way that this page came out. Pink and purple are my favourite colours! I used the Slice wedding cartridge to create the 'ring'.

This page is about the day that I got engaged, which was August 24th 2010. That is a picture of my ring but I didn't get that until later in the month. Actually I think it was September that I finally got my ring back from the jewelers.

I apologize for anyone coming to visit. I realize that my pictures aren't there. Photobucket appears to be doing some work on their site or something.

Again I am sorry for this inconvenience in coming to visit my blog. If anyone has any solutions as to another site I can use for pictures or another way I can add them, please let me know!

Thank you!!

Wedding Layout

Hello!
I made this layout a while ago and I just wanted to share it with all of you. The top layer of paper is actually a vellum sheet. There is just a plain white cardstock with some detailing under it.

Enjoy!

Paris Je T'aime

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share something with you that I made for my wall for some art. I didn't go to Paris, these were pictures that we have been collecting from friends for a while. I wanted to use my new Slice card too because I love Paris so much! The Slice card is called Je T'adore.

Ok here is the picture! I hope that you enjoy it!

I used the Slice card for all the details shown. I used the Eiffel Tower shape for the a instead of the letter, mainly because I wanted to use that shape somehow.

One thing about this card that I love is the font! I love that alpha font they included on it!
